Recently walking around Red Hook and noticed the beautiful embossed bricks that are everywhere there. Most embossed bricks were used for paving and was advertising for the companies that made them, Calvert and Minerva being the most common. In red Hook they were made by S.B & T from clearfield which I think references an area near the Williamsburg Bridge.
